What we can say. What we cannot.

Everything on this page is a sentence the product is allowed to use. If a screen ever says something this page does not cover, that is a bug, and we want to hear about it.

01

How the audit is made

The walkA scripted visitor opens the store, finds a product page, adds the product to the cart and goes as far into the checkout as it can without paying. It runs in a real browser and takes a screenshot at every step. Nothing is installed on your site and nothing is submitted on your behalf.
The rules115 rules today, each one naming the research behind it: Baymard, Nielsen Norman Group, WCAG 2.2 and the agent-commerce specifications. The whole rulebook is published, rule by rule, on the rulebook page.
The scoreWeighted by where in the journey the rule sits, and renormalised so that a store where we reached fewer steps is not quietly punished for it. The weights and the arithmetic are on the methodology page.
02

Honesty

Coverage sits beside the scoreEvery score is printed with the share of the rulebook it was actually able to judge, at the same size. A rule on a step the walk never reached leaves the score entirely; it is never estimated and never counted as a pass.
Uncertainty is not a failureA fail is a positive claim: we checked, and the store got it wrong. When a check cannot be made confidently the rule returns not assessable and leaves the score, which shows up as lower coverage rather than as a defect you do not have.
Model observations are labelledSome rules are judged by a model reading a screenshot. Where that happens the report says so, and those notes are never presented as a measurement.
03

The words we use

FailWe reached the step, we ran the check, and the page did not meet the rule. The report shows the screenshot it was judged on.
Not assessableThe rule applies to your store but we could not answer it: the step was blocked, the page did not load, or the signal was ambiguous. It lowers coverage and changes nothing else.
Revenue at riskAn estimate, and labelled as one everywhere it appears. It is a band derived from published research applied to your own traffic and order figures, not a measurement of your business.
NeverGuaranteed. Compliant. Certified. Legally safe. These words do not appear in a report, and no finding here is legal or accessibility-compliance advice.

Your data

What we reachOnly the pages of your store a shopper could open without signing in. We do not ask for admin access, we are not installed in your store, and we have no way to change anything on it.
Who else sees itScreenshots of the audited pages are read by a model to judge the rules a machine cannot check from code alone. The full list of companies that necessarily touch anything is on the privacy page: Madfoat (powered by PayTabs), Anthropic, Contabo GmbH, Decodo, toSend.
How long it is keptYour reports stay for as long as you have an account. The full-size captures behind them are reduced and cleared on a schedule; the evidence images in the report itself are kept. You can delete your account, and everything under it, from your settings. See the privacy policy.
Card detailsThe card is entered on our own checkout page and exchanged immediately for a single-use token by the payment provider. We never see or store a card number.

Publishing an audit

Your own audit is privateAn audit you ran is yours. It is not published, not listed and not shown to anybody else unless you ask us to publish it.
The audits we publish ourselvesWe publish audits of stores in our own showcase so the method can be checked against real shops. Each one names the store, the date and the version of the rulebook. A store may reply and the reply is published as it was sent. Write to [email protected] and a person answers.
CorrectionsA correction is made on the page it affects, and the page says it was corrected. We do not quietly re-score a published audit; a re-run replaces it at the same address and says the score moved.
06

Money

14 daysIf a report was not worth what you paid, say so within 14 days and we refund it. You do not have to argue the case. The full terms are on the refund policy.
Refunded without being askedA report that came back broken, a charge that was duplicated, or work we said we would deliver and did not. We would rather tell you than let it pass quietly.
Not refundedA report that ran and said something you did not want to hear, and business results. Acting on a report is not a promise that sales will rise.
